Job description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced female Disability Support Worker to support a participant in the Townsville area.

The participant requires hands-on assistance with daily living, personal care and mobility. We are particularly interested in workers who are confident using manual handling equipment and can provide safe, respectful and consistent support.

The female requirement reflects the participant’s personal care needs and preferences.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Supporting the participant with personal care and daily routines

  • Assisting with transfers, mobility and repositioning

  • Using hoists and other manual handling equipment safely

  • Supporting community access and appointments

  • Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks

  • Following individual support plans and manual handling procedures

  • Completing clear and accurate progress notes

  • Communicating effectively with the participant and support team
