Job description
Mosaic Care is seeking a compassionate and confident Support Worker to support a participant in the Macarthur area living with a psychosocial disability. This role is best suited to someone who is calm under pressure, experienced in behavioural support, and passionate about helping people build independence and confidence in everyday life.
The successful candidate will provide person-centred support focused on community participation, emotional regulation, routine building, and positive engagement. A female support worker is preferred by the participant.
While personal care is not required for this participant, there may be opportunities to support other clients where personal care assistance is involved.
Tasks and responsibilities
Provide one-on-one psychosocial disability support in the community and at home
Support the participant with daily routines, appointments, and community access
Build positive rapport and maintain professional boundaries
Respond calmly and safely to behavioural challenges and emotional distress
Encourage independence, confidence, and social connection
Follow support plans and behavioural support strategies
Communicate clearly with families, coordinators, and the Mosaic Care team
Complete shift notes and incident reporting as required
Assist with transport to appointments and community activities when needed
