Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide regular support to a new client with Cerebral Palsy in Blacktown.

This role is well suited to someone who is confident providing personal care and experienced with manual handling and hoist transfers. You’ll support the client with their daily routine while encouraging their independence, choice and comfort at home.

Shifts are primarily available Wednesday to Sunday between 3pm and 11pm, with regular ongoing work available for the right person.

Tasks and responsibilities

You’ll provide practical, respectful support based on the client’s individual needs and preferences. This will include personal care such as assisting with hygiene, showering, toileting and other aspects of daily life at home.

You’ll also assist with manual handling and hoist transfers, prepare meals, support the client with their daily routine and help them maintain as much independence as possible.

Building a consistent and trusting relationship with the client will be an important part of the role.
