Disability Support Worker - Box Hill (Tagalog preference)

• Ability to support participants respectfully in their home and community

We are looking for a caring and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide support to a participant in their home environment, with community access support as needed. This role would suit someone who is patient, compassionate and able to build a genuine connection while supporting the participant’s independence, wellbeing and daily routine.

A Filipino / Tagalog speaking support worker would be highly regarded to help support communication and participant comfort.

• Provide in-home support in a respectful and supportive manner

• Assist the participant with daily living tasks and routines

• Build positive rapport and provide emotional support and companionship

• Support community access activities when required

• Encourage independence while following the participant’s preferences and goals

• Maintain professional communication with the participant, family and care team where required

• Follow care plans, safety procedures and participant support strategies
