Disability Support Worker – Manly

We’re looking for someone reliable, caring and respectful who is comfortable providing consistent one-on-one support.

You’ll need:

• A reliable car and current driver’s licence

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Working with Children Check (WWCC)

• National Police Check

• First Aid Certification

• Availability for 35+ hours per week, including weekends

• Confidence and comfort providing personal care

• A willingness to provide hands-on mobility and manual handling support

Manual handling training can be provided for the right person.

We’re looking for a caring and dependable Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing one-on-one support to a woman living in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The participant is a quadriplegic and requires hands-on assistance with personal care, mobility, daily routines and accessing the community. This is a consistent role with 35+ hours available each week, including regular weekend shifts.

The focus is on providing respectful support while helping the participant maintain her independence, routines and choices in everyday life.

• Providing personal care, including assistance with hygiene, showering, toileting and other daily living needs at home

• Providing mobility assistance and manual handling support

• Supporting the participant with her regular routines and helping her maintain as much independence as possible

• Supporting community access, activities and social outings based on what the participant wants to do

• Providing reliable and consistent one-on-one support

• Working regular weekend shifts

• Following established support routines and instructions while responding appropriately when needs change
