Disability Support Worker - Glenmore Park

• A current Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable car

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Working with Children Check (WWCC)

• National Police Check

• Current First Aid Certification

• A genuine interest in supporting people with disability to build their skills, independence and confidence

• The ability to follow individual support plans, instructions and workplace guidelines

Kerima Care is looking for caring, reliable and adaptable Disability & Community Support Workers to join our team in Glenmore Park.

You’ll support people with disability to live more independently, build confidence, access their community and work towards the goals that matter to them. Every person is different, so we’re looking for workers who can listen, adapt and provide support based on each person’s individual needs and preferences.

There are multiple permanent part-time opportunities available, with a minimum of 8 hours per fortnight guaranteed and the potential to work 20+ hours per week depending on your availability and client needs.

• Supporting clients to access the community, attend activities and appointments, socialise and take part in activities they choose

• Helping clients build everyday skills, confidence and independence

• Providing practical support at home and in the community

• Providing personal care where required, including assistance with hygiene, showering and toileting

• Supporting clients who may have mental health concerns or behaviours that can be challenging, while remaining calm, respectful and focused on their individual needs

• Following individual support plans and clearly defined guidelines

• Observing and communicating changes in a client’s needs or wellbeing

• Keeping accurate records and communicating relevant information to the wider support team
