Job description
NepEve Care Services is seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to a female participant living in Mount Druitt. This role focuses on supporting the participant to remain independent, active and connected through quality personal care, assistance at home and meaningful community participation.
We are looking for someone who is warm, patient and energetic, with the ability to build trust and provide person-centred support. A support worker who speaks Tagalog would be highly regarded to help strengthen communication and cultural connection with the participant and her family.
Nursing experience is preferred but not essential. Experience supporting people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) or dysphasia will be highly regarded but is not required.
Tasks and responsibilities
Provide respectful personal care, including assistance with hygiene, showering, dressing and toileting where required.
Support the participant with daily household tasks and maintaining a safe, comfortable home environment.
Assist with community access, social outings, appointments and activities chosen by the participant.
Encourage independence while providing support tailored to the participant's goals and preferences.
Build a positive, respectful relationship with the participant and her family.
Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns promptly.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow individual support plans.
Work collaboratively with the participant's support network and the NepEve Care Services team.
