Job description
We are currently recruiting both male and female Support Workers in the Sutherland area. Our immediate priority is finding experienced support workers who have previously supported individuals with behaviours of concern.
This role involves supporting people with disability to live independently, build skills, and engage in meaningful activities both at home and in the community. We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and proactive workers who are comfortable supporting participants with complex needs and varying levels of support.
We offer a highly competitive casual rate of $44 per hour for workers who hold relevant qualifications and experience.
Tasks and responsibilities
Your role may include:
Assisting with daily living activities at home
Supporting community access including social outings, appointments and activities
Implementing behaviour support strategies when required
Supporting participants with mental health needs
Supporting participants with personal care including hygiene, showering, dressing and toileting
Supporting participants to build independence and life skills
Maintaining clear and accurate progress notes
Following behaviour support plans
Responding calmly and effectively to changing situations
