Job description

We are currently looking for a reliable and compassionate female Disability Support Worker (client preference) to join our team, supporting a client primarily with community access.

This role offers approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as needed. The successful candidate will be supporting the client to engage in meaningful community activities, build independence, and enjoy day‑to‑day life.

While the primary focus is community access, additional tasks may be required depending on client needs. This may include personal care, domestic assistance, and mental health support for this client or others.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, and genuinely enjoys supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Tasks and responsibilities

Community Access

  • Supporting participation in community activities

  • Assisting with social outings and appointments

  • Encouraging independence and confidence

  • Supporting activities aligned with client interests and goals

Personal Care (As Required)

  • Assistance with hygiene and personal care

  • Showering and grooming support

  • Toileting assistance where required

  • Supporting daily living routines at home

Domestic Assistance (As Required)

  • Light household tasks

  • Meal preparation

  • Laundry and general tidying

  • Supporting independence within the home

Mental Health Support (As Required)

  • Providing calm and supportive companionship

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing

  • Assisting during challenging moments

  • Encouraging routine and structure
