Supporting clients with psychosocial disabilities in day-to-day routines
Handling manual handling tasks safely and confidently (including hoists and transfers)
Managing and de-escalating complex behaviours with a calm, grounded approach
Encouraging independence through life skills, social connection, and community outings

Keeping clients engaged, safe, and supported throughout the day
Working consistently between 9am and 7pm on weekdays, and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays

Why Able Minds is a great place to work
Able Minds was founded by Peni, who recognised something simple but powerful: people with disability want the same things he wants. To gain skills, find meaningful work, stay healthy, and live a good life.
That belief shapes everything the organisation does. It is not about “care” in a clinical sense. It is about supporting people to build the life they want.
At Able Minds, you are part of a team that sees people first. Everyone is looking for purpose, connection, and opportunity, regardless of who they are. Working here means helping make that possible every day.
