Job description

We are looking for a Disability Support Worker to provide regular support to a client who has recently moved into a new home in Moorebank.

The support is focused on helping with everyday routines, including getting in and out of the shower, preparing meals, attending appointments and getting out into the community.

Some general support around the home is also involved. The focus is on helping the client manage everyday life and maintain their independence rather than providing a cleaning service.

There are also other clients who require support, so suitable workers may have opportunities to pick up additional shifts and build more regular hours.

  • Help with general everyday tasks around the home

  • Cook and prepare meals with or for the client

  • Support the client to attend appointments

  • Provide transport and support for outings where required

  • Support the client to participate in the community based on what they want to do

  • Encourage the client's independence and involvement in everyday activities

  • Follow the client's support plan and preferences
