Job description
We’re looking for a caring and reliable female support worker to assist a young participant with ASD. This role focuses on building a positive relationship, supporting daily routines, and encouraging participation in community and recreational activities. Consistency is important, so availability for the set afternoon shifts is essential.
There will be other participants available to be supported as well.
Tasks and responsibilities
Supporting the participant at home with daily routines and activities
Encouraging community access: outings, social activities, and engagement based on the participant’s interests
Providing support with emotional regulation and behaviour, using a calm and patient approach
Assisting with personal care (if required): hygiene, showering, toileting, and general daily support
Creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment
Communicating updates with family and care teams as needed
